NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Vermillion County Assessor will receive sealed bids for the services listed below at the Vermillion County Auditor’s Office, Newport, Indiana until February 20th, 2012 4:00 pm EST. Bids will be read aloud February 21st, 2012 in during the Commissioners Meeting at 8:00 am. The Bids will go under review for a period of time and an Award of the successful bidder will be notified once a final decision has been made.
The Vermillion County Assessor will contract for a Professional Appraiser or Appraisal Firm to provide Annual Appraisal Services for 2012 through 2014 for all properties involving residential, agricultural, commercial, industrial, exempt and utility parcels in Vermillion County.
The Professional Appraiser or Appraisal Firm’s Project Supervisor must be certified by the State of Indiana, a Level III Assessor- Appraiser and hold a professional designation from the International Association of Assessing Officers. Perspective bidders must have extensive experience in the use and application of Indiana Assessment Standards and a thorough understanding of the income method of valuation and must be able to provide a Performance Bond.

The County Assessor reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding.
