NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE
Notice is hereby given that the Vermillion County Redevelopment Commission is accepting sealed
offers for the purchase of the following real estate located in Vermillion County, Indiana:
155 Extension Street
Parcel 83-06-26-331-007.000-012
The offering price for the parcel is $10,000. Offers of less than this price will be received.
Offers must be submitted in a sealed envelope, indicating on the outside of the envelope the address
of the property the offer is being made for.
When submitting an offer, please include the price being offered, the proposed use for the property,
what improvements, if any, will be constructed on the property, and the timeline for when said
improvements will be made. The property will be conveyed to the purchaser by quitclaim deed and is
being sold “as is” with no warranties, express or implied, of any kind. The sale is also being made on
the condition that any proposed improvements being made to the property must be made within a
reasonable time following the property’s sale. The buyer shall also be responsible for payment of any
and all past and future property taxes and all costs necessary to record the quitclaim deed.
Offers will be received by the Commission until October 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Persons interested in
submitting an offer for the property may submit a written offer in-person to the offices of the
Vermillion County Economic Development Council, 703 W. Park St., Cayuga, IN 47928.
Alternatively, written offers may be mailed to the Vermillion County Redevelopment Commission at
703 W. Park St., Cayuga, IN 47928. An offer submitted by a trust must identify each beneficiary of
the trust and each settlor empowered to revoke or modify the trust pursuant to Indiana Code 30-4-1-
1(a). All offers shall be open to public inspection and will be opened at a meeting of the Vermillion
County Redevelopment Commission on October 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at 703 W. Park St., Cayuga,
Indiana.
The property shall be sold pursuant to the procedures of Indiana Code 36-7-14-22. The Commission
may reject any and all offers and may make awards to the highest and best offerors. In determining
the best offer, a variety of different factors shall be considered, including but not limited to: offering
price, the intended use of the property; the improvements proposed to be made to the property;
and/or the offeror’s financial ability to improve the property.
The property may not be sold to a person who is ineligible as a purchaser under Indiana Code 36-1-
11-16 (person who owes delinquent taxes).
